Friday!
No MMU visitors scheduled for today. We are going to roll with a “normal” break schedule if no late adds show up. If a visitor shows up now… will pivot to yesterday’s break schedule.
Still have late English just in case.
Get that late work in on the public (make a folder with your last name) so you can remove and missing grades from your gradebook!
Schedule for next Wednesday – the final day before vacation:
- 9:40 – 12:15
  - Work to get caught up all missing work. If you are fully caught up. 100% chill. Get your missing work in BEFORE Wednesday morning, I will accept it today, Monday, and Tuesday due to our short week.
- 12:15 – 12:45
  - Lunch
- 12:45 – 1:15

- 1:15 – EOD
  - CAWD goes to Ice Rink to skate. You will be dismissed from the Rink, so at 1:15 it is like the end of the day for us, everything off, take your drinks, bags, etc. There will be hot chocolate, you can bring your own skates, and if you don’t want to skate bring your Switch, headphones, sketchbook, and you can zone on the bleachers and people watch.
We will need this file for PM Guided Practice. Get it now so the website doesn’t think we are a bot farm and keep asking “but are you a human?” (Of course I already have it saved as I am amazing.)

Assigning vertices to vertex groups when waiting painting is causing rage.

10:00 Fish Rigging

Open up your Blender file that has all of your reef elements – such as Emma’s above.

Rig any fish that you have, as well as any Corals that you want to have a subtle animation.

Each fish:

Have a minimum of 3 bones.
Be weight painted correctly.
Have an animation controller (think hula hoop) around its body for ease of selection / transforming.

When you are complete I want you to raise your hand and call me over. I see your fish deform well (no smearing), I check you off.

Nothing to turn in, just save your Blender file into your “week_16” folder as “riggedReef.blend” so you have a rigged copy.

When complete get to your Pin Design! We are going to compare your 1st and 2nd drafts, we want to see marked improvement.

10:45 2nd Draft Pin Design

Take the feedback you recieved from our Constructive Criticism Session and create the second draft of your pin.

Remember the main ideas heard in our critique sessions:

Improve legibility / make text larger / adjust fonts / look at contrast between text and backgrounds.
Look at adding detail to the design. You can always add detail, and clean up what is there already.
Fill up that 7 inch by 7 inch square as best you can, it’s all legal real estate to use

Save your Illustrator file, and export your 2nd Draft as “(lastName)Pin2ndDraft.jpg” at a quality level of 100.
