Notes

  • Big ups to Bevins for placing in the top 3 for the CTE Pin Design competition! He and his Cow design have been selected to move on to the SkillsUSA Vermont Championships in April.
  • Friday! Next week will get back to our typical 3 projects per week model and kick of our Web Design and Development semester.
  • Look at your neighbor – the last time….
  • Today we will:
    • Wrap up Capstones
    • Move Computers / Work on some cable management.
    • Setup stations with tablets / setup software
    • Practice tablets and get a racecar fast lesson blending modes. Like super fast, just to get us thinking about them.
    • Pictionary.

We are going to watch each students presentation. We are looking at 3 deliverables:

  1. Time-lapse – presented first to get us intrigued.
  2. Final Product – to see what we could do with it.
  3. 5 Minute Demo – to see how we an do it.

  • Throw the Frisbee, toss the football, kick the kickball, or just get some Vitamin D and not be at a desk.

Who likes new seats? Who is ready? Meet new people. Experience new things? Broaden your horizons.

We are going to do a bunch of cleaning and organization.

Cable Management

Make it pretty. I have zip ties for you. Everyone needs to beautify their station. If you hustle and get this done quickly I may let you go to lunch early (station by station basis if its pretty).

  • You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.

  • Let’s plan with some of the settings in Photoshop.
  • We are using 4096 levels of sensitivity. Compared to mouse click and non-click, we have pressure sensitivity.
  • Blending Modes in Photoshop / what do they do?
  • This is going to be really quick and basic, just to wet our whistles on a Friday afternoon.
