• Welcome to Week 35!
• Hi all. I am still on Covid Quarantine, with a Thursday return. I have slept a lot, and have some pretty heavy pressure in my head. Achey. Good times. My goal is not dying.
• CAWD Laptops! Where are they? If you *forgot*. won’t be able to check them in until I return, but please hand to Mr. Bohmann! He will stack them safely. Or just plan on giving me the Laptop on Thursday when I return.
• Just hold on to projects for now – nothing to turn in today from Week 34.
• The focus this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday is DH 35, and your Week 35 Agency.
• No projectors / no articles / no Switch / no mindfulness and databases / no dailies / no 1984 until I return.
• If you are EHS and have an alternate afternoon schedule, please communicate to our sub. Don’t just leave!

To review:

Monday through Wednesday the focus will be on Design Homework and Week 35 Agency. Thursday morning we are going to hit new content pretty hard so we can do our CAWD/Web Dev project Thursday and Friday.

The work that IS due today … we will collect on Thursday of this week. We will not do critiques, I will grade on my own so we can protect the class time we will have together.

I have already heard from my sources of the students that are playing games, not working hard, socializing. Please don’t do that to the sub. Let’s just make the best of this time – and get your Design Homework and Week 35 Agency DONE by end of the day Wednesday.

9:45 DH 35: Hair

In our final Portrait “component” you are going draw hair. Your final Portrait is going to be you OR a celebrity, so think about if you want to draw long hair or short hair. Practice what you will do in your final portrait sketch!

Find a YouTube tutorial on your own that teaches how to sketch hair.

Follow direction and sketch the mouth. Remember we are working on learning independently. What are the good videos? What are low quality? You have to start building a critical eye. Look at vote count, look at comments, etc.

Create a folder called “dh” inside your “week_35” folder, and an index.html inside. This is where your final sketch and web work will go for each of your 4th quarter DH’s.

This html file will include:

• H1 that says the subject
• Your final sketch as an image at a width of 20% (use CSS for this)
• Your image as a link to the full size image.
• The embedded YouTube tutorial that you used.

Technical Requirements:

• Use CSS each week
• Valid HTML
• Use Lightbox!
