  - Final CAWD / Web Dev due Friday June 3rd in presentation.
  - ALL missing work turned in by Friday June 3rd at 2:05. Students with missing work after this date start working with Ethan / Emmy to make a plan to come back to school after summer starts (Friday June 10th and on) for Summer School! I’m here till Friday the 17th, ngl.
- Week 38
  - Monday – Certification exam cramming. You have been doing great so far – and don’t forget that you can turn zero projects in ALL YEAR, tell Mr. Cronin he smells, and STILL get certified through this 3rd party Industry Recognized Certification Exam. It is multiple choice. Multiple Choice.
  - Tuesday – Certification exam
  - Wednesday – Chill day to keep it real / game / socialize. Some would say that nothing educational will happen this day. They would be right.
  - Thursday – Recognition Night Rehearsal / Recognition Night at … night. I want to get a picture that night!

    - We don’t have to T Pose or Dab.
    - Covid killed 2020. 2021 was weird and spaced. This year, we get back to it.
  - Friday – First day of your summer (so long as you get your missing work in!)
3 day weekend coming up for Memorial Day. Your last day of vacation for the year! Due to this the work we do this week will be due next Tuesday (acting as our Monday).
As you can see we are going to be ever so gently taking the foot off the accelerator a bit, we need to give you time in class to finish work in class. The end of the year is real.
If anyone has Adobe issues (can’t use anything Adobe) let me know and I can try to fix it with you. It will not be immediate, and may be an afternoon fix. Deal with it until then.

12:00 DH 36: Final Portrait

In our FINAL portrait of the year you are going to sketch a complete piece. You have one of two options:

Self Portrait / Portrait of your family member
Celebrity

If you do a really good job, you can tell others (family / colleges / employers) that you drew a specific person and they will be impressed. If you don’t do a really good job you say its a random human. Either way you win.

In the next page of your sketchbook (in portrait orientation!) do your final Portrait sketch.

Hopefully we are going to see the practice that you have had over the past weeks organized in a final summative piece.

I am going to provide a resource that you may want to beforehand, that illustrates how the different elements on the face can be laid out mathematically. If you don’t feel comfortable laying out your elements free form, use math to help! There are many many versions of these types of videos that you can use to lay out the elements. Here is just one option with decent background music only:

Place your file in your “dh” folder, inside “week_36”. I don’t need you to watch a tutorial for this (but you could), so I just need to see the final portrait at 20% width (through CSS) with Lightbox working. No tutorial required, it is optional. Happy Finn?

Due to Memorial Day this will be due Tuesday. May 31st.
