Welcome back! Welcome to Week 14. While it seems crazy to talk about, we have 3.5 weeks until Christmas Break. 18 days in school until 2022. We are going to be busy, and I may be using our Afternoon Guided Practice time here and there to give us some extra work time. Some “different” things on the horizon during the stretch of school:
- Mrs. Knight is coming to give us an introduction to SkillsUSA this Wednesday 12/1 @ 10:45.
- Pre Tech visiting 2 Wednesday mornings, 12/8 and 12/15. They want to see what we do. Have friends in Pre-tech? Want to work with them? Make sure they sign up to visit CAWD through their pre-tech teacher / Emmy.
- Mount Mansfield High School (MMU) visiting on 12/16 and 12/17. They want to see what we do. Have friends at MMU? Want to work with them? Make sure they sign up to visit MMU @ MMU (Guidance counselor).
- This is the start of “Visitor Season” in CAWD. This is where students that want to apply to CAWD are going to start bombarding us with visits. We match CAWD students up with visitors to give them a tour of what we do, and these CAWD students earn extra credit for acting as class ambassadors. You want your grade as high as possible? This is how you do it. Sagen (CAWD student from years back) holds the single CAWD quarter grade record of a 102 because he wanted his grade as high as possible for college (and pride) and worked with every visitor that walked in the room. Some of you have asked how do I get an A+…. this is the way.
- We are getting into our first Design Competition – SkillsUSA Pin Design – with a solid version complete by Christmas.
  - We will go through Pre-Production just as we would in industry.
  - We will create final digital versions and prep for the Design Competition.

Noble will be giving constructive criticism today. Pick out one thing that works, and one thing to improve upon in the future.

Martinez will be giving constructive criticism tomorrow.

11:35 Drawing Content – 2 Point Perspective

Today we are going to continue our 2nd Quarter focus on perspective. We have covered 1 Point perspective, today we will start working with 2 Point Perspective.

11:50 Design Homework 14: 10 Floating Cubes using 2 Point Perspective

Design Homework 14 is going to be creating 10 floating cubes in 2 Point perspective.

At least 4 of the cubes must be partially obscured, just as the example above. 4 of the cubes need to be partially visible.

Use appropriate shading with brighter and darker sides.

Save your file as “(lastName)DH14.jpg”.
