Don’t forget today’s 1:10 deadline for the Blender Background challenge – even if you aren’t here, you to have something uploaded to be eligible!
I have these special meetings 8 times a year after school, with Emmy, with Mr. Curtis, with Mrs. McCadden, and we talk about each student individually, their work completion, etc. Today after school is the first of those meetings. I strongly recommend that you present any missing work you have today to me individually, as after we talk about each student there may be calls home. Take care of it today before dailies so I can update your grades before the meetings. Even if the work isn’t perfect, it’s better than a zero in your gradebook.

This morning you are going to create a background for our CAWD Computers.

Requirements:

Use emissive materials
Use glow
Use a low depth of field effect (ehhhh, I can let this one slide if your design doesn’t warrant it)

By 1:10 this afternoon have a render saved to the “backgroundCompetition” folder in the public at a resolution of 3840 x 2100 saved as “(lastName)Background.jpg”. My example file name:

“croninBackground.jpg”

You will get guided practice time today to complete this.

If you are in the Final 4 you will become and approved background, earn extra credit, and go on the CAWD Website.
