Assembly today! 10-11:15 Lad in a Battle. Come here as normal for attendance and the we will all go down as a class.
Today is a “White” day at CTE, no academic classes. Callbacks:
- Spofford and Dahal to Science @ 12:45
- Jasper and Ethan to Math @ 12:45
Certain EHS students will be going to lunch at 11:55 due to their early release.
Ms. McCadden wants to remind us to get our books finished by 5/13.

Quiet in the halls – others have class.
Sit together (we are going to follow … Eli down), but not in the back of the auditorium.
Behave, be appropriate, listen for the giveaways – hint hint.
Watch the clock in the upper right corner of the auditorium. When the assembly ends you have a 10 minute break, starting then.

When the door near the TV is open, you are welcome to come back in.

11:25 Morning Web Pass Fail

This morning I want you to do two tasks, separated by a horizontal rule. This will demonstrate and apply your learning from yesterday about JavaScript interactivity, both through user clicking and time. At the very bottom I have included print screens of my code for students that want to reference it – it is all there.

Start with a folder inside of your “week_32” folder called “pb&j”.

The top:

Have a clickable guide on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the top using the images below – total of 6 images.

The middle:

Horizontal rule in the middle.

The bottom:

Have a looping slideshow of the process, without the need for clicking. Again use the 6 images. 1 second per image (1000 milliseconds).

When complete raise your hand and I will check you off. You go to lunch when you are checked off.

Make sure you create variable and function names which don’t overwrite each other! For example you can’t have two id’s that say “frame” – this will practice creating your OWN logical programmatic names.

If you can’t get done by lunch, I need this checked off by the end of the day for credit. You can work on this after lunch if need be – just show me before you leave. Everyone starts out “failing” for this – only showing me your work gets you credit.
