Class Hours: 9:40 – 2:05
Mr. Cronin
Notes
- Welcome to Wednesday and your last day before Capstone Presentations! Tomorrow we start presenting, and just work through each and every student until we are complete. This is not the project to say “I can’t go, I’m not ready” for as the zero I will have to put in the gradebook will be heavy at a 3X weight. Be prepared.
- Today is a “White” day; no CTE academics. Callbacks:
- Jasper to Math @ 12:45.
- Certain EHS students will leave today at 11:55 for lunch.
- Today IS a BFA early release, 11:25 lunch if you need the bus. eMurry bus? DeCell car? Noble pickup?
- Next Wednesday it looks like 14/16 of you will be taking the Graphic Literacy WorkKeys test as your scores were high enough on the other tests. You do well on this test you earn 2 college credits immediately!

9:45 Final Bevins Pin Presentation
Bevins needs to be the library in Conference room #1 (on the left hand side) at 10:10 for a 10:15 presentation. Let’s get one more presentation done to work out the kinks!
10:00 Capstone
Specifics are in the Wednesday Dayplan from last week.
Remember:
- There are multiple deliverables. Make sure tomorrow at 9:40 you are 100% ready to go.
- This is a very large grade – 3X. Give it the time it requires to get the “A”.
When I am grading I use a pretty typical grading scale, A’s are reserved for excellent work. If you want that “A”, you have to do excellent work on all of 3 of the components:
- Create a 60 second time-lapse utilizing your new skills at 1080p in the program using OBS.
- Demonstrate a logical final product (mp4, jpgs, etc).
- Create and present a 5 minute presentation where we watch you demo live the new tool / technique / program. You are the teacher now using the lead computer.
Each of the 3 Capstone components above is equally weighted.
For the presentation, you have to be comfortable with your content, the new tool, the new technique, so that you can get up on the lead machine and demonstrate your new skills. Don’t forget to practice that component over and over. Being able to communicate in the real world is sometimes more important that what you can actually DO. You have to be able to yell at the lead machine so we can all hear you over masks.
If we have to watch you install software or “setup” a project more than a couple seconds it will deduct points from the demonstration portion of your component. Nobody wants to see you setup.
Setup today.
