11:20 CAWD / Web Dev: Self Directed 5 page site with CMS

Over next 3 mornings you are going to create 5 page website on a topic of your choosing using your WordPress.com hosted Content Management System.

The topic is 100% up to you. As we are approaching the end of the year, we are going to do less and less hand holding, and let you stretch your wings a bit.

The main requirement: “Impress the class“.

If each page of your website has the word “Burrito” with a meme picture, but you hit the requirements, you are likely shooting for a 70-75 as a grade.

If you want the A or B, try to make something coherent, something that actually decent, using the limited controls of the CMS.

Some of us are on the cusp of the next letter grade for the Quarter, and final grade. B+/A-, C+/B-. This has huge implications for GPA’s when applying to college! Don’t check out yet…

To turn this in create an html file called “myLiveSite.html” with a link to your WordPress.com account. This site can literally be a single link, it does not have to be valid, it is just so when we present our work next week I can open the file, and click on the link to your project. This will go inside your “week_36” folder along side your final DH and final Agency.

As so much of the code we can’t control, no validation, no WAVE validation, just practice using the CMS.
