Welcome to Week 15!
We are getting back to normal this week with:
- CAWD Project
- Agency
- Design Homework
This week in the afternoons I am going to call students over for quick meetings to go over your status for next year if you decided to apply to CAWD / CTE next year. Some of you are right where you want to be to get apply for CAWD2, or another program. Some of you have work to be done. Luckily, we are early enough in this process that everyone can improve and get to where they want to be next year. All up to you.

There will only be 4 folders / 4 students as this is the only project, and the CD’s are in charge of deliverable submission.

10:00 Pin Design 2 Pack

This morning we are all going to look at our 4 packs and make our first cuts. You as the designer have to evaluate what you did last week, and pick the two designs you wish to have move on for a chance of production.

Your final pin will come from this two-pack, so choose wisely.

Snag a piece of paper and draw two of your four original versions, at a higher quality and larger size. The pins should be equal in size (don’t worry about a small version right now).

As we are looking at 4 projects in groups of 6, we all will all jump in with Constructive Criticism where appropriate/

At the end we will rate our teammates.

11:35 Sketching Content: 3 Point Perspective

11:55 DH 15: 3 Point Perspective Tower from Ground Level

Create a 3 point perspective drawing of a tower / tall building from ground level looking up. We do not want to see the tops of the building. The goal is through using 3 point perspective with the 3rd vanishing point above the first 2 that we will have an illusion of looking up at something quite large.

Save your file as “(lastName)DH15.jpg”.

You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.

Follow along as I read; lose yourself in a story for a bit.
One of the strengths of this book are “beautifully rendered scenes“. You will be creating art based off of the text. Listen attentively.
