All work we do this week will be due the Monday we return from Thanksgiving vacation. So yes, you get 9 extra days to work on it over vacation.

Today Hassenberg will be giving Constructive Criticism. Pick 1 thing that works, and 1 thing to improve upon next time. Remember we are separating the Design from the Designer. We are looking for actionable input.

Remember that Constructive Criticism can sometimes be subjective… on art which is also subjective. You don’t have to agree with the Constructive Criticism, but you have to hear it without getting defensive.

Tomorrow LeBeau will be giving Constructive Criticism.

11:45 DH12: Exterior scene using 2 Point Perspective

DH12 will be creating an exterior scene using 2 Point perspective. Topic up to you, we just want to see the vanishing points, and will look for them when we present your work.

As in the sample above I recommend that you have your paper in landscape orientation. Gives you more space to spread out the vanishing points.

Save your file as “(lastName)DH12.jpg”.

This will be due the Monday we return from Thanksgiving vacation.

One of the strengths of this book are “beautifully rendered scenes“. You will be creating art based off of the text. Listen attentively.
