• Mr. Bohmann will be taking “half” the incoming CAWD2 class today right after English. When you are giving your gameplay feedback make sure that you are being clear, listening to direction, etc. Students going to CAWD2 after English will not have to do the Study Guide. The rest of the incoming CAWD2 class will visit tomorrow after English.

9:45 1984 Wrap up and Design task assigned

We are going to use the next 6 afternoon reading sessions to create a piece of artwork that connects to the book. (You can use the AM as well)

I was going to mandate that it was a telescreen – but that seems kind of “Big Brother”, telling you what to do.

I want you to create something that connects to the text. Options:

• Telescreen
• Face cage
• Rat
• Chestnut Cafe Scene with chessboard and gin bottle
• Ministry of Peace
• The diary
• The Dace / The Golden Country
• Big Brother
• Room 101
• Mr. Charrington’s room
• Glass with Coral
• Drying line scene with diapers
• Etc

You are going to save this as “(lastName)1984.jpg”.

This can be done in any medium that CAWD touches on:

• Blender
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• Hand Drawing
• Video / Multi media?
• Web?

This will be presented to the class next Friday with our Final CAWD Agency project. You will have 6 afternoons to work, and may use AM time as needed.
