• Remember you have to be fully caught up to take part. I don’t want any sass from you tomorrow if I say “Jered – turn OFF Genshin Impact, you have missing work.” (Jered is fully caught up)

9:45 Game Day / How it works from a teacher & student perspective

Here are the major “rules” – a Game Day isn’t anarchy, its more like a normal day in many ways. We all have to agree.

• The only drink over there is cider. No soda’s or other drinks over there, keep them and drink them on the shelf. Or better yet, in the hallways.
• Attendance will happen at our “normal” times.
• You can NOT leave the room. You must stay in CAWD as normal. If you have to go to the bathroom you have to ask just as normal, as I have to legally keep track of you (and keep most of you alive) until the end of the day. I realize people will be zipping down to the cafe to microwave stuff, we will have “lunch” as normal to get free food, but 9:40 / 12:45 will be attendance.
• Only people in the room are CAWD / CAWD2 students. No “friends” just because we are chilling. Let them chill in their class.
• We are having a clear the halls drill tomorrow at 1:45. That means we LOCK all our doors, and “class goes on as normal”. The only variation is I am locking us in at 1:35. From 1:35 to the end of the day there aren’t any bathroom visits. We are just going to be holed up in our little castle. They will come over the intercom and say “Clear the halls drill” and I will listen, you can just continue on with your life, and then I will let us know when it is over. We may not even know it happens. That is the goal.
• There will be no Dayplan for tomorrow. All work form this week is due the Monday we return. Most likely I will give you the full AM session 9:45-10:35 to work the first day back, but you really need to have the work done before you leave, or simply plan on working at home over vacation. Remember that agencies can be sketches! Easy peasy. Adobe we pay for at home, Blender is free, Unreal is free, etc.
• Any dish/food left here gets tossed in the trash at the end of the day. Not trying to be mean, but look around, there is no sink, dishwasher, fridge, etc. Anything left here gets tossed! This includes cups, bowls, everything – we have to leave it as clean as it is today.
• We only eat and drink in the pen – where our feet are touching the tarp. Just helps us stay clean. There will be a trash, there is a spot to have crock pots plugged in, etc. We also have some food allergies in the room and if we have a distance “eating area” then it helps minizine any allergic reactions.
• Any food that will last to December Game Day obviously gets put aside. If it lasts, we keep it. Don’t open everything at once, lets go through ONE bag of chips first, ONE bag of cookies first, you know? Make your money go farther. I hate waste.
• PLEASE if an spill / accident occurs, tell me ASAP. I am going to be here after school cleaning on the Friday before vacation, don’t leave me something that has set into the carpet at the end of the day. We have cleaning products, we should deal with when it happens. I will be less angry if you are honest with me than hide something.
• I am going shopping tomorrow AM super early, doors open at 7:30. You have to go to your classes unless you have spoken with your teacher already! You can still do this today.
