11:30 Design Project – CAWD Sweatshirt

This is a two color design. You have three colors available to you.

Project Overview & Summary:

  • CAWD Sweatshirt (Hoody is final design)
  • Color: Charcoal Gray
  • Design Colors: 3 design colors + fourth color being the sweatshirt
  • Paper Design approval before going digital. This is a requirement. Don’t skip this task. A good designer can show their process. Paper first.
  • Paper Designs Due Friday, October 14th – Lunch. If you submit earlier, you will have more time to work on the digital design.
  • Digital Designs Due Thursday, October 20th. You may use any software you like.
  • You will be graded for your completion of the paper and digital design (one grade) with deadlines counted in the grade (don’t be late!)
  • We’ll use Cawd 1 to help narrow designs and to help choose a final design.
  • Goal: Printed Sweatshirt before you leave for the November break.

You have 40 minutes for working on your sweatshirt design now. Begin the process, I have templates available under the whiteboard.

12:45 Creating a Nice Double Exposure in PS

Let’s continue this week in the afternoons with some mini lessons in Photoshop. Last week we took a tour of the Timeline window to create GIFs using Pupper Warp, Cinemagraphs using the image sequencer and a short video using the video sequencer in the timeline.

Let’s take a photo from last week and use the basics of Masking and Blend Modes to create a simple double exposure image.
