Mr. Cronin
Notes
- Monday!
- Congrats to Tobi and Elizabeth! They took 2 of the top 5 spots at CTE in the Pin Design Competition!
- Forget about Q2 and Semester 1, we can only control Q3 and Semester 2 going forward.
- Look around you. New seats tomorrow….
- Last day of early lunch…
- No EHS 7/8 classes.
- YES CTE Red classes.
- In honor of Elizabeth and Tobi making the next round of the Pin Design Competition, and the fact that anything with dailies today would be exactly what we see tomorrow in our Tuesday Capstone presentations, here is what we are going to do:
- Give Elizabeth and Tobi time today to work on Capstone / start Pin Design presentations
- Try to find some extra production time, so we are going to eliminate today:
- Speed Design
- Jobs
- … but we are having our end of day reading at 2:20. At 2:20 I am coping down the folder from the public drive, and that is what we are going to present Tuesday – I have this published so you can see it.
- Sound good?

This is it! 2:20!
2:20 Dailies
2:25 “19 Minutes”
4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At 2:44 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
