11:00 Critiques
Each week we will upload our work on Monday as a class. I will then present your work to the class. Every week we will pick a new student to proactive giving constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is a type of feedback that offers specific and actionable advice to help employees to improve. In the professional setting we need to be to talk professionally about the work, even if you don’t “love” the person who created it.
If selected, you will pick 1 thing that works, and 1 thing to improve upon next time. Remember we are separating the Design from the Designer. We are looking for actionable input.
Today Lee will give Constructive Criticism.
Tomorrow Connie will.
11:30 1 Point Perspective with Purpose
Yes.
No.
This morning we are going create a western scene using 1 point perspective. Taking the artistic rules of 1 point and using it. Creating some bounds for objects that aren’t straight lines – creating guides for our work with light construction lines.
12:00 DH12: Scene using 1 point with rounded object
Create a scene of your choice using 1 point perspective. Attempt at least 1 rounded object (using a containing box to rough out bounds).

12:05 Agency Options for Week 12
So here’s the deal kids.
We are losing a session of time Wednesday to work due the Husson University presentation, and have an early release.
We are going to lose a bit of time Thursday AM for our Game Day Grade Check (if fully caught up that is just work time). Then English Thursday.
Friday – since we will all be caught up – we are chilling and laughing and playing Genshin and eating and zoning – around English.
So this is what our Week 12 work will look like:
Week 12 CAWD Project – nope, not happening.- Week 12 Agency – two options:
- Do an Agency as normal
- If you turned in your Animation on time TODAY I will give you the chance to revise your animation and create a final, polished version, ready to use for college applications and your portfolio. If you choose this option the grade that you get for the revised animation will count as your Week 12 Agency and replace your Week 11 droid animation grade as well. You would get time in class this week for revision and editing, re-rendering, making this perfect. This option is only available to students that met our deadline this morning for on-time submission of the Droid animation. If you missed the deadline this morning you will need to create an agency with new work product as standard in CAWD.

2:20 Dailies
2:25 “19 Minutes”
4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At 2:44 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
