We have 2 weeks of academic school left, then a week of end of the year activities:
- 36 – “Passion Project” Draft (2 projects – no more Web specific projects)
- 37 – “Passion Project” Final – all work due Friday June 7th at EOD (only project – final grade)
- 38 – end of year activities
  - Monday – Certification exam
    - Have to take the exam, part of the program. If you can’t take it Monday, we may invite you back Friday to take it after school is over. This is not what anyone wants, so make sure you are here Monday.
  - Tuesday – Movies (CAWD2 wants Garfield if possible)
  - Wednesday – Game Day / Social / Relax
  - Thursday – Recognition Night Rehearsal, Recognition Night – LAST DAY OF CAWD! Everyone get off of work / other stuff so we can end the year with a nice night, get some photos, get some scholarships (I know people in the room that will win $), etc.
    - At the we want to get together to get some photos of the class before you leave.

Lee, Ben, and Connie – leave now for Skills testing in the conference room. This is the national tie breaker – so if you tie… California for example, it is this test that determines the winner. Kinda cult-y. It is what it is. Look the hands and they eyes! Learn to spot the AI.

Remember that you are turning in the first 50%, or first draft assets, on Monday. How you present your work is up to you at this point. Still frames, sketches, animations, OBS recordings – it’s up to you.

Speed Designs are 10 minute sprints in CAWD where we practice. It could be any medium – 3D, 2D, video, programming, etc.

Passion Project Draft
- Create a folder called “passionDraft” inside your Week 36 folder. You will choose what you wish to present. I would recommend 2-5 assets showing off your first draft work that could be:
  - WIP’s
  - OBS recordings of the process
  - What didn’t work and you are pivoting away from
  - etc

  - Remember that DH36 will be a before / after presentation.

2:20 Dailies

2:25 “19 Minutes”

4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:

Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
Unplug

At 2:44 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
