10:10 Animation Series Multipage Website
This week are are going to work on our first multipage website. You may use many of the new techniques we have practiced including:
- Flexbox
- Nav
- Anchors linking to multiple pages
- Templatizing pages so we can make 1, copy it over and over, and have a consistent layout
First – we are going to have a topic draft. Once an animation series has been selected by a student, you can’t choose it. We want to see variety.
Content Requirements:
- 5 page website – make the first page perfect then copy it 4 additional times and fill with content.
- Home – index.html
- Info on the series as a whole
- Setting – setting.html
- Where and when does the show take place?
- Character 1 (you can swap out for character name) – character1.html
- Bio for star character
- Character 2 (you can swap out for character name) – character2.html
- Bio for secondary character
- Watch – watch.html
- Give me a clip from YouTube of the show, or other site. If you can embed into the page with valid code all the better.
- Home – index.html
All content can be copy and pasted from online sources – we are grading you on the layout and web programming, not the narrative. No citations necessary – we aren’t masquerading as if we wrote this content. Think of this as similar to Lorem Ipsum.
Layout Requirements:
- H1 for the main branding
- Nav and links for main navigation
- H3 for the specific page you are on
- Images (at least 1 per page, all the same size page by page) and paragraphs / lists for the info
Technical Requirements:
- Valid HTML
- All style rules in external CSS
- You pick 1 image size, and ALL images (1 per page) will be that size. Search smartly online or use Photoshop.
Create a folder called “animation” inside of “week_24”. Place your entire project in this folder.
Trust me – make 1 page that is perfect, and only copy and paste the pages once your HTML and CSS is done! It will make your life so much easier!
Extra Credit opportunity – pick a Google font for the H1 and incorporate into your design. How do you do that? Figure it out, that is why it is extra credit.
10:50 Morning Break (10 minutes)
- 10 Minute break – you have to exit the room.
- When the door near the TV is open, you are welcome to come back in.
11:00 Animation Series Multipage Website

This is due the day we return from vacation!

- You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.

1:20 Afternoon Break (10 minutes)

- When the door near the TV is open, you are welcome to come back in.
1:30 Speed Design

1:45 Afternoon Practice & Production
- Animation Series Multipage Website

- (lastName)DH24.jpg
2:20 Dailies
2:25 “19 Minutes”
4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At 2:44 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
