10:10 Final Agency – Week 34
Today you will create your final agency. This will be due tomorrow – Wednesday – at 10:15 AM.
This is a standard Agency, the topic is totally up to you, just remember that we are going to have the entirety of Tuesday to complete it.

11:30 Web Mini-Capstone (can start on Wednesday / for students ready)
Our Web Design work this week will be a Mini-Capstone, putting a period in our specific CAWD Web Design Coursework. While we don’t have an exam, this end of semester project will be graded as a double weight project. This week is about:
- What do you know how to do?
- What don’t you know how to do, but can learn how to do?
Since this is an end of semester Mini-Capstone – I really can’t help you with specific fixes to your problems. We want to see at the end of the semester what you can do.
There are a total of 4 Brass Rings to reach for in this project, choose 1. Each option earns a different maximum grade based on the efforts. You have full agency to determine what grade you are shooting for.
Are you looking for a maximum of 110 (extra credit)?
This is the hardest option, requires research, tinkering, and personal learning – yet it gives a maximum grade of a 110.
- Create a mimic of Twitter / X and demonstrate basic functionality.
- Create a web form to accept a users post – can just be a sentence.
- Save this to a database / use PHP and JS.
- When the page loads read the database and load the most current post and display on your site.
- Use OBS to demonstrate (as you will need php, databases, etc) and I will want to come and see your final product in action. Call your file lastNameTwitter.mp4.
This option is for hard working students who want to get their college grade up as high as possible, as well as get their high school GPA up as high as possible for applying to college next year.
Are you looking for a maximum of 95?
- Create a 5 page website using VS Code.
- Topic up to you.
- No CMS. Hand coded. Full control of the designer.
- We will check for valid code, responsive design, and that you have zero errors or contrast errors when looking at the WAVE Evaluation Tool (Chrome extension).
- Turn in project in folder called “handCoded“.

- Powered by a CMS you install.
- OBS your work and demonstrate what you wish credit for.

- Topic up to you.
- Powered by a CMS-lite online.
- OBS your work and demonstrate what you wish credit for.

This project will be due on Tuesday May 28th after our Memorial Day long weekend.
