Get that missing work turned in so you can relax on Friday! I will be doing check ins this AM.
Friday AM before English we will be doing something … different – so assume the last scheduled time to work in CAWD for this weeks work is today and Thursday.
Are there any movies coming out late May / early June that we would be interested in seeing?

Create a new WordPress.com website using the Twenty Twenty Four Theme. Include the word “zebra” in the domain.
Create 3 pages (3 links in the navigation)
- Apple – has a photo of an apple
- Pear – has a photo of a pear
- Banana – has a photo of a banana

When you think you are complete – paste your URL here and I will test on the big board.

When checked off – move into your Portfolio V1.

11:00 CAWD Portfolio V1

This week in CAWD we will create our first online Portfolio.

A portfolio is a curated collection of an artist’s best work, intended to showcase their skills, style, and range of expertise. It is used to demonstrate the artist’s abilities to potential clients, galleries, and educational institutions, or as part of job applications within creative industries.

You are going to use WordPress.com to create a new live site that will act as your Portfolio. This Portfolio will feature 3 of your best works (this will increase throughout the quarter). You will paste your URL into this Google Sheet so that we can access your work efficiently.

Portfolio V1 Requirements

Pick a domain name that makes sense for your name and your portfolio.
Use 2024 Theme at a minimum – but feel free to explore other themes. Other themes could have different options, but we are all smart enough to tinker and learn. The easy way to get the A is use the theme we have practiced, but I know many will want to go above and beyond.
Have 6 pages / accessible in the navigation:
- Homepage – info about you. Use real bio information, but don’t dox yourself if you don’t want to. Create a persona. What are your career goals? Where do you want to be in 10 years?
- Best work 1 (replace Best Work 1 with name of project). Give at least 1 image / animation of the project, along with a description. Use complete sentences. Why are you proud of this, how did you create it? Did you work in a team? Are you still working on it?
- Best work 2
- Best work 3
- Resume – what you created with Ms. McCadden as content, but build it in WordPress with headings, lists, and paragraphs.
- Contact – how can people get in contact with you? Feel free to make this info up, but you should have an email, phone, website, etc.

When you are complete make sure that you place your URL in the document above. When we present your work we will be going to that sheet and opening your site directly from there.

Don’t forget to activate your site – make it live!
