11:00 Some Animation stuff…. More with Rigging

Over the last couple days we made our character’s rig. Using the IK controls, you can create all types of positions with your character.

Now that we have a rig, we can also create some custom bone shapes for our knees and elbow, head and torso. I am going to make a new collection for these shapes and I have to remember to apply their transformation.

When creating poses, we can copy and paste poses from one side to the other using the Copy Pose, Paste Pose Flipped option (in pose mode) to replicate the same pose on the other side of your character.

a viewport render. ProTip – turn off your gizmos and overlays, to make things look a little better.

1:20 Break

1:30 20% Time

Each Friday we’ll transition after reading to 20% time. Think of this time as passion project time, go down the rabbit hole time, learn something new time, explore and get lost in the details time. It is not waste time, time. Maybe your exploring AI in Photoshop and you build an example, get the picture.

For dailies – you’ll share what you were up to and what you learned. We’ll start those dailies at 2:30 today and each of you will get up and share your learning.
