10:05 Today’s Notes & Attendance

What a week- it went fast!

  • I am out today – got some sore throat, cough issues going on. You probably heard me yesterday.
  • Game Careers Assignment is due today -be sure to hand in. Proofread – That’s the professional thing to do.
  • Starkanoid! A game made by a student in CAWD2 (Owen Stark).
  • Honor and High Honor – congratulations students
  • Dailies Today – Nick – I’d like you to run dailies today at 2:40pm

10:05 – 12:25pm Breakout – Game Building Session Today

In may absence I’d like you to forge ahead with your Breakout Game Build. By the end of the day you are on track if you have:

  • A game scene with all assets
  • A ball that breaks (destroys) bricks
  • A score that adds up
  • A Win or Lose Condition (Killbox) and messaging

It would be nice to have:

  • Sounds
  • Multiple Players / Health
  • Bricks that have different scoring
  • PowerUp or Invoke/Instantiate something (see yesterday’s dayplan)
  • An Opening Splash screen (which we were going to do today)

This is an individual assignment. However, use the following pairings as your assistant in case you have some code problems. Use each other / help each other.

  • Miah / Alex
  • Brodey / John / Richard
  • Sparky / Kevin
  • Logan / Ariel
  • Xavier / Josh
