10:05 Working with Function Curves (F-Curves)
In animation, an f curve is a function curve. The f curve shows the interpolation between two keyframes. You’ve been working with keyframes and between keyframes for two years now.
After animating some property in Blender (any property) using keyframes you can edit their corresponding curves. When something is “animated”, it changes over time. An F-Curve does is an interpolation between two animated properties. So today, let’s play with Scale and build an equalizer.
What is a frequency?
A frequency is a measurement of Hz which refers to the number of vibrations per second. Some sounds register at different frequencies.
By baking a sound frequency to the function of an object (referred to as Baking Sounds to F-Curves) we can get a nice effect. This video gave me the idea (see the character bobbing up and down – Nice)
Let’s play around with Baking Sound to objects in Blender. What can you come up with?
10:40 CTE Survey – Identifying Opportunities for Improvement
The admin team asked programs to have students take a survey to gather feedback about climate, culture and support around the classroom and CTE. We were asked to budge 30 minutes for the survey. When you finish, use your time to prepare your Animatic – which we’ll be viewing today after break.
If you are all set with your Animatic for the showcase, use your time to work on your 2D LipSync Project.
