When testing is done, work with your partner or solo to compete the rest of your deliverables. We’ll begin presentations on Friday at 11am. The rotation will be clockwise starting with Sylvie and Maxx.
Review Feedback – Work on Presentation when visitors leave…
On Friday morning each Game will make a short presentation about their game. Google Slides might be the easiest way for you to organize yourselves. However if you want to make a website, google site, wix site, PDF, video,….. you decide.
Your presentation will include:
- Name of your Game
- Description & Overview of the Game
- The core game mechanic
- The inspiration for your game
- Challenges you faced when creating your game (try to explain)
- Feedback you received during playtesting and summarized
- What you are happy about or what you learned/improved on
- What’s next (If you continued to develop your game, what would you do) to bring it to market
You are encouraged to use screenshots, code examples, pics.
Pro Tip: Less words makes for better presentations!
It’s casual – just share what you learned!
Each Presentation will kick off with your Video Game Trailer. What’s in a video game trailer?
- Length: 25 seconds. Your trailer must feature quick-cut editing, high-energy transitions between gameplay clips to keep the viewer engaged. Maybe consider using After Effects!!!
- File Name & Format: TeamName_GameTrailer.mp4
- Game Title: The trailer must open with a clear, stylized title screen featuring the name of the game.
- Gameplay Descriptions: Use lower-third text overlays during gameplay clips to briefly describe key features or mechanics (e.g., “Explore 8-bit worlds,” “Unlock epic power-ups”).
- Text: Readable, free of typos, good contrast
- Audio: Must include an audio track. This should feature engaging background music and/or game sound effects that match the fast-paced editing.
- The Hook: End your trailer with a strong final hook or call to action (e.g., a release date, a dramatic cliffhanger, or a “Play Now”)
