Hi all! Hope you enjoyed the Snow Day. I am leaving the Dayplan up as it holds all our info for Skills. Some updates.
- NOTHING due today at 12:55. We are going to have to fold this weeks Skills work into next week. So the deliverables that were to be due today are now due next Friday at 12:55. This isn’t ideal, but we have to adapt.
- Get a great start on your Skills Deliverables today to carry over to next week.

Tomorrow is the CTE Open House in the cafeteria (9:30-1), if you have cool, smart, nice, funny friends I want them for next year. I will pay 45 cents per student you bring me.

2:15 Dailies

2:20 “19 Minutes”

4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:

Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
Unplug

At 2:39 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
