Friday! I have respawned, but my mana is still pretty nerfed. Take it slow with me today.
Everyone have a great 3 Day weekend! See you on Tuesday next week, and we will wrap up Semester 1. We have one more 4 day week of Semester 1 CTE classes.
Next week (T / W / Th / Fr) – Week 19 – we must turn everything in that is missing from Quarter 2. I must close the grades for Semester 1 next Friday the 24th and send your sending schools your grades.
Ehs semester 2 starts next Tuesday – any schedule changes for Lion, Mallory, or MJ?
We will have some visitors in the room this AM. Creative Directors / Team Leaders, you are going to introduce yourselves and get them with your headset on to see what you have done. Make them feel welcome!

The work we complete today is due Tuesday after our long weekend. This is the final work of the Quarter / Semester.
All missing work from the 1st semester must be turned in by the end of Quarter 2, which is Friday the 24th. That means next week you get 4 days to turn it in. Did I say this twice? Yes, it is that important.
Go to lunch directly from English – last day of this!!!
No Speed Design today – use the extra time to get EVERYTHING complete for our last round of grading in the 1st semester and quarter 2.

2:20 “19 Minutes”

4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:

Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
Unplug

At 2:39 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
