Notes

  • Friday! I have respawned, but my mana is still pretty nerfed. Take it slow with me today.

  • Next week (T / W / Th / Fr) – Week 19 – we must turn everything in that is missing from Quarter 2. I must close the grades for Semester 1 next Friday the 24th and send your sending schools your grades.
  • Ehs semester 2 starts next Tuesday – any schedule changes for Lion, Mallory, or MJ?
  • We will have some visitors in the room this AM. Creative Directors / Team Leaders, you are going to introduce yourselves and get them with your headset on to see what you have done. Make them feel welcome!
  • Totes!
  • The work we complete today is due Tuesday after our long weekend. This is the final work of the Quarter / Semester.
  • All missing work from the 1st semester must be turned in by the end of Quarter 2, which is Friday the 24th. That means next week you get 4 days to turn it in. Did I say this twice? Yes, it is that important.
  • Go to lunch directly from English – last day of this!!!
  • No Speed Design today – use the extra time to get EVERYTHING complete for our last round of grading in the 1st semester and quarter 2.

2:15 Dailies

2:20 “19 Minutes”

4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:

  • Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
  • Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
  • Unplug

At 2:39 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.

2:40 Dismissal
