Friday, November 14th

Friday, November 14th

Class Hours: 10:05 – 2:40
Mr. Cronin

Notes

  • Happy Friday!
  • Start making sure all missing work in your gradebook is taken care of so that the Friday before vacation Game Day you can chill and eat with the homies.

10:05 Attendance and Article

10:10 Game Day Check in

  • Academic Expectations
  • Food / Activities

10:20 Pass / Fail

Inspired by Vulcania from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, create a landscape that has both water around and inside the Volcanic Crater.

The island / rock will be a terrain object.

The water COULD be texture painted, but I would simply make it with a blue box / plan with a blue material. This makes the most sense so we can make the water a separate, maybe animated object, in the future.

The art doesn’t have to match the picture exactly, just have mountains around the outside, and water inside and outside the island.

When you have your Island created, take a print screen, and upload to the passFail folder as lastName.png (jpg fine too). We will watch your work on the big screen for credit.

Once complete get into Ground Level 1 production!

Every day in GAWD will end with “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:

  • Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
  • Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
  • Unplug

At the end I will 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened.

2:40 Dismissal
