10:05 Attendance and Article

10:10 Pass Fail

This morning you are going to work in Partners. You will work at the person in bold’s computer. Once you have completed and rendered the project, you are going to place in the “passFail” folder as lastNameLastName.mp4. I will present, and you move on.

Here is what we are going to be practicing:

  • Motion path usage for the earth around the sun
  • Motion path usage for the moon around the earth
  • Rotation of planet / moon on path, with linear interpolation so that the spin never speeds up or slows down.
  • Parenting (remember child to parent)
  • Particles for the sun (see settings below)
  • Motion Blur (turn on)
  • Viewport Rendering (quick visualizations)
  • Creating a perfectly looping animation – work on your timing.

Textures for the the project:

Particle Settings for Sun

Turn gravity OFF – and use these as a guide, just make it look similar.

The key is the sun has some particles showing solar emission, while also dying off before they get to the planet and burn us all to death. Just make it look good.

Only the student who is HOSTING IN BOLD may touch the mouse and keyboard. The visitor is only there to help with workflow. HOSTING STUDENT IN BOLD.

  • Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
  • Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
  • Unplug

At the end I will 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened.
