- Today is our first BLUE day of the week.
- Remember that some of have Work Keys tomorrow. It’s not hard, but you may lose some time for production in the AM – work efficiently today.
- There is an opportunity to bring a small group of students to GlobalFoundries for their Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 30th. We have space for up to 12 students and would like to open the opportunity to interested students. If you are interested it is first come and first server, and there are some caveats:
- Have to be at CTE and ready to leave at 8:29 AM. If you can’t get here that early, then that is it.
- Will be back in the afternoon by the end of the day – this is a full day event, but could lead to full time employment directly after high school.
- If interested you need to email Mrs. O’neal directly at sonealkegler@ewsd.org.
- This is first come first server, you are reading this early in the day – get in your email NOW if interested.

11:35 A Gentleman in Moscow

Imagine being sentenced to spend your life inside a luxury hotel. In A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, Count Alexander Rostov faces exactly that. Trapped in Moscow’s Metropol Hotel after the Russian Revolution, he builds unexpected friendships and watches history unfold outside. The novel asks an important question: Can you still build a meaningful life when your freedom is taken away?
A class read-along gives us a chance to slow down, disconnect from screens, and get lost in a great book together. As we read, you’ll naturally build your vocabulary, strengthen your reading skills, and experience a story.
11:55 Lunch

- You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.
