10:10 Vibe Coding with AI

Vibe coding is a relaxed way to program where you don’t plan everything first. You try ideas, test them quickly, and adjust as you go. It focuses on creativity and exploration, not perfection. This works well for learning or starting projects, but the code may need cleanup later.
With AI here and now, we are programmers need to look at all the different ways we can create with code, from specific line by line coding, to using AI as a tool, throwing content on the wall, and seeing what sticks.
Let’s try it out from a basic perspective to get a general idea.
10:35 How do I make a cube in Blender?

- Jumping off yesterday’s Maple work, let’s see if we can use AI to teach us how to make a cube in Blender. Let’s assume we don’t know how to do this.
- If we can make a cube, let’s extend this to adding in some noise animation so the cube.
10:50 Morning Break

11:00 Critiques

Each week we will upload our work on Monday. I will then present your work to the class. Each project I will pick a student to practice giving constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is a type of feedback that offers specific and actionable advice to help employees to improve. In the professional setting we need to be to talk professionally about the work, even if you don’t “love” the person who created it.
If selected, you will pick 1 thing that works, and 1 thing to improve upon next time. Remember we are separating the Design from the Designer. We are looking for actionable input.
11:30 Bootstrap with AI

As we move into the 4th Quarter we are going to start thinking of life after the 4th of July 2026. It is summer. You want to learn about something. What do you do to learn that new skill, technique, or process?
The reality is that AI is a tool that people younger than you will be native with, will use every day, and they will have an advantage over you. My children, who are all way younger than you, are using AI. You all need to start acting like AI natives and incorporate AI into your workflow.
This week I am not asking you to use generative AI to make an image, or to make a model, but start using it as a tool to learn. Just like yesterday with our Maple Sugaring practice, and this morning with our Blender practice, AI can be used to help us learn.
So this week we are going to use AI to teach us how to make a website with Bootstrap. We are going to work with the model of July 5th 2026. You are sitting in your room, and want to learn about X. This week we are going to start using AI as a learning tool.
As an educator…

I am going to start us all all with some prompts to get us started. We are probably going to take the same initial steps, but then in time you are going start going in different directions. By the 10th prompt what Jackson is asking AI will be totally different than what Bourdeau needs, which will be different than with Bubba needs.
I am going to help you craft good prompts to help answer your questions.
I am not going to answer anything about Bootstrap.
This is all about practicing how to learn in 2026 and beyond. The hard workers who never had the resources “we” all do in the West, now have access to these tools. You will have to step up and take a proactive role in your education or you won’t find and retain gainful employment.
In the end you are going to create a 4 page website on a topic of your choosing using Bootstrap. Have the first file called “index.html” and place in a folder called lastNameBootstrap.
11:55 Lunch

- No food in the room / eat in the Cafe.
- You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.

12:30 Vibe Coding with JavaScript

You need a website that uses JavaScript to change the background color every second to a random color.
Let’s use AI to see what we can do.
12:50 1984

Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984) is a dystopian novel by George Orwell that explores totalitarianism, mass surveillance, and the manipulation of truth through the story of Winston Smith in the superstate of Oceania, ruled by the omnipresent Party and its figurehead, Big Brother.
Read along with Mr. Cronin. Improve literacy, word decoding, enjoy a nice story, and unplug from the world.
1:10 Afternoon Break

1:25 Speed Design

Speed Designs are 10 minute sprints in CAWD where we practice. It could be any medium – 3D, 2D, video, programming, etc.
1:40 Afternoon Practice & Production

Bootstrap with AI
- folder called lastNameBootstrap
DH27: Baseline Portrait
- lastNameDH_27.jpg
Week 27 Agency
- lastNameAgency_1.jpg through lastNameAgency_3.jpg
2:15 Dailies

2:20 “19 Minutes”

Every day in GAWD will end with “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At the end I will 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened.
2:40 Dismissal
