Tuesday! Right into Game Testing!
2 Days to get missing work in – remember that I will accept late work today AND Wednesday.
You don’t come to school Thursday or Friday (Lion ignore that …)

Remember that many of you do NOT have class next Monday or Tuesday due to Workkeys. If you are unclear please come and see me, but only certain kids are here next Monday and Tuesday, and then you are to be picked up / excused by family. There will be no program happening Monday or Tuesday beyond testing.
The work we are doing this week is 4th Quarter work (due in the 4th Quarter).
All your missing work is 3rd Quarter, and THAT work I must have by Wednesday at the end of the day for Q3. That is tomorrow! Make missing work a priority!

Presenter sells the game as if pitching to the Game Judge.

Note Taker watches and takes notes on the player, the game, the presentation, everything.

You must get at least 3 plays. 3 users to test your work, for credit for this assignment.

I will make your comments anonymous, but I will know it (as I have to make sure you do 3). Be proud of your feedback.

This week you are going create a component of a larger web site, a photo gallery.

Create a main element that holds 6 image thumbnails (200 x 200). Placeholder or fill is fine, but it don’t squish or stretch.

The main element should be perfectly centered on the screen. Use flex on the body for this…

Inside the main element you will have your 6 thumbnail images setup as links. You will use flex on the main element as well.

Links/Images are partially transparent, and when hovered turn to full opacity.
Links/Images get slightly larger at hover.
Research the CSS transition property to that it animates the hover scale effect.
Left to right on desktop, top to bottom on mobile, no horizontal scroll bar.

Create a folder called flexboxGallery with an index.html inside. Organize other assets as needed.

Remember that we are going to be having the Quarter End for us on Wednesday. This work is actually due for you in the 4th quarter. Log in and work on missing work first!

Once you are caught up in Q3 work on the Gallery Project (Q4 work).

2:20 “19 Minutes”

4 of 5 days per week we will end our day in CAWD with the “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:

Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
Unplug

At 2:39 each day I will come to 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened in your story over that day’s reading session. It is neat to hear little pockets of a story, here and there.
