- UE review
- Blender to Unreal workflow
- First task – scale. We will be using that human reference file extensively.
- Next task – materials. Use Blender to at least create the colors, and then we will build in UE using it’s own material editor and real time game ready materials.
- Final task – texture painted objects with dedicated texture maps.

This morning we are going to watch one of the pioneering animations from early days of computer graphics, and start building our own Luxo Jr. inspired light to use next week.
We will start today, we will continue Wednesday after lunch.
At 11:35 we will take our WIP (work in progress) and export / import into our UE project for Week 9. Repetition on the workflow, getting comfy with the process.
This process WILL be your Speed Design today, Thursday, and Friday.

- Export Luxo from Blender (or other 3D asset creation software)
- Import Luxo into Unreal (or other Game Engine)

2:20 “19 Minutes”

Every day in GAWD will end with “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At the end I will 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened.
