10:45 Critiques
Today St. Pierre will be giving Constructive Criticism. Pick 1 thing that works, and 1 thing to improve upon next time. Remember we are separating the Design from the Designer. We are looking for actionable input.
11:35 CAWD Project: Bedroom
We have 3 days (Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday) to finish our Bedroom projects to show off our families and friends on Thursday night at our CAWD Open House.
Here are going to be the final deliverables:
- “(lastName)Bedroom_1.jpg”
- “(lastName)Bedroom_2.jpg”
- “(lastName)BedroomDOF_3.jpg”
** Please note the 3rd render has the “DOF” added to it, and in this final render we want you to feature an asset in your scene through a low depth of field render. Just like we practiced this morning, put something you are proud of in your scene (that you modeled well) as the focus of the render and then blur the foreground/background using the skills we learned this morning.
Sell your work, make it feel as real as you can, if you don’t show off your work in your renders how will we know you created it? Great renders can turn a “meh” project into pretty good. Poor renders can do the opposite.
To get everything in the first two renders remember that you can:
- Take off the ceiling/walls and look in as if a diorama.
- Use near clipping adjustments to simply not render the wall closest to the camera.
- Position your camera in your world so that you can see it all – start here.
- Adjust the field of view – be careful as things will get wonky.
12:15 Lunch (30 Minutes)
- No food in the room / eat in the Cafe.
- You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.
