- Will go here if we have any.
- We have 3 days until the semester is over. This morning we are going to have some specific time to do a gradebook check.
- If fully caught up, work on Agency or Design Homework. No AR/MR/VR, stay in seats.

11:00 Web Design Project: Resume
Our very first Web Project for the year is going to be an online resume. It is going to be fairly clean (boring) visually, but really reinforce the tag structure that we are looking for. We won’t have any images or styles, but we will get the basics down.
First, create a folder inside “week_19” called “resume“. Inside create an html document called “lastNameResume.html“.
All of your work will be done in VS Code – which is free remember, snag at home.
Using headings, paragraphs, lists, anchors, and horizontal rules, create a resume that includes your:
- Contact Information
- Professional Summary – A brief 2-3 sentence summary of your experience, skills, and career goals.
- Skills Section – What are you good-to-great at? Be honest, but don’t be silly. Nobody believes you are a ninja.
- Work Experience – What are your last 2 jobs? Write out the real description and real location. If you have never had a job, write “No previous employment”.
- Education – To tease this out let’s include your middle school, high school, and GAWD. Find the correct addresses and list them clearly and consistently.
- Certifications – As we are in IT, this can be valuable. We will all attempt to pass a certification in June. Let’s all say:
- Scheduled to take the Web Designer Certification from the “Web Professionals Global” organization in June of 2025.
- Awards – As we are in a creative class, this can be valuable. We will all take part in the SkillsUSA State Design competitions in April, so let’s all say:
- Scheduled to take part in the SkillsUSA State Design Competitions in April of 2025.
Make sure the three links above (CAWD, Web Professionals Global, and SkillsUSA) are live links in your resume – remember this is an online resume and the web is built of linked documents.
When complete make sure you validate your code. We will be validating live in front of the room during Critiques. We always want green – errors in code is an automatic D at a maximum. Warnings are acceptable for now.
11:55 Lunch

- No food in the room / eat in the Cafe.
- You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.
