2023 National Animation Champions from GAWD, literally sat in this room.
Thursday and Friday’s around GAWD English we are going to use the time to work towards the Vermont SkillsUSA Design Competitions in early April.
You can pick from:
Animation
- Team of 2.
- Prep all quarter creating and learning.
- Design Competition is a 1 day, 7-hour competition.
Web Design
- Team of 2.
- Prep all quarter creating and learning.
- Design Competition is a 1 day, 7-hour competition.
Game Design
- Team of 2.
- Build your game over the 3rd quarter.
- Present your Game to a judge in a 10-minute pitch.
Teams will need to pitch and meet certain criteria to continue development. Teams that don’t meet the expectations will be moved to Animation or Web Design competitions.
What we have to know today is:
- Who is in your team?
- What is the discipline? (If choosing Game Design, we have to know your backup discipline if your team doesn’t complete development)
Tomorrow morning, we will start our Week 20 Skills Deliverable. Each week our new Skills Deliverables are assigned Thursday AM, and are due the next day – Friday – at the end of lunch (12:55). They are timebound just as the Design Competitions are (and life in general).
