- NEXT WEEK (NOT THIS WEEK) YOU HAVE A 3 DAY WEEK
- You don’t come to CAWD next Thursday as we have Step Up Day, where we invite new applicants to work with us for the day. There is no CTE that day.
- You have Friday off as we have in-service.
- The only way you have school next Thursday is if you are visiting another program for next year. If you are graduating, or applying for CAWD2, you will have Thursday off (other than your sending school classes).

10:10 SkillsUSA Awards Ceramony
- We compete Tuesday April 8th. All 3 disciplines. (Game / Animation / Web)
- The Awards luncheon is Friday April 11th. It is at DoubleTree hotel in Burlington. A bus is taking kids over in the morning, and will return at the end of the day. It is a nice event where you can be rewarded for your efforts, and literally win medals! And free food!
- The rub is that you may get dropped off after the busses leave that afternoon, and you have to get the clothing requirements to go on the stage. You would need to look like this image with black pants and white polo shirts. You have to have this clothing to wear – some may, some may not.
- Regardless on if you attend the ceremony, you will earn your medal.
- If you choose to not attend the awards ceremony (due to clothing, or uncertainty regarding the end fo the day busses) class will happen as normal with me in … class. We will be productive.
I am going to come around and see if this is something you are interested in attending. You would be excused from our CAWD work that day (as you are on a class field trip), and Mr. Bohmann and many CAWD2 students are likely going.
If you aren’t as interested, you are welcome to stay in CAWD, but frankly it is a chance to have a pretty fun and novel experience – compared to just a normal Friday in CAWD.
If you DO have the clothing requirements, and if you DO have some scheduling flexibility with your family able to pick you up after school (maybe?), it will be a great experience!
