- Welcome to a continuation of Week 25! Week 26 will be NEXT WEEK.
- Friday is the end of the 3rd Quarter – so if you have anything missing you have to create a folder on the public (outside of the week 25 folder) and place your missing work there.
- Early release Wednesday – I will put as many callbacks that I am alerted to in the Dayplan. For the Last Minute Larry teachers… they will have to contact you and the sub directly. Callbacks:
- Will go here when I know.
As I found out last Wednesday, my wife’s surgery is happening as we speak, and I am at the Copley Hospital. I am out the today through Friday for support.
What this is going to mean in broad strokes, 50,000 perspective:
- “Last Looks” will run today officially, but the folder will live on the Public Drive and be copied down on Monday morning (3/30) when I walk in the door. So you have until the end of the day on Friday to make sure that everything is turned in, and it is as good as it can be.
- Due to giving you an extra half week to work on these projects, I am going to increase the weights of these projects to double weight. This will encourage you to revise and continue working on these projects this week.
- I am also moving the due date for Week 25 work to next week – so technically it becomes work for the 4th quarter. This is the most fair way I can think of doing this – with so many events recently out of our control.

What this is going to mean on a granular, micro level:
- 3 Days with:
- A sub / be nice and listen.
- No Articles.
- No Speed Designs.
- No Critiques.
- No 1984.
- No Midweek Morning Meetings.
- No new GAWD assignments.
- No dailies.
- No projectors.
- YES new Skills work – that you can start today. SkillsUSA work which will also be due by the end of the day on Friday – at least for the Game Teams. I have emailed the Game Design Creative Directors already. Animation team may be different, just listen to Mr. Bohmann’s directions.
- YES to end of the day reading.
- A focus on “this weeks work”.

Every day in GAWD will end with “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At the end I will 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened.
