10:05 Attendance and Article

10:10 Adobe AM

Photoshop is a powerful graphics editing software developed by Adobe. It is widely used by photographers, designers, and digital artists for image editing, graphic design, and digital art creation. Photoshop provides a wide range of tools and features for tasks such as photo retouching, compositing, image manipulation, and creating digital illustrations.

We will spend the first 20 minutes of Wednesday’s learning Photoshop so we can incorporate it into our workflows.

10:30 Week 8 Hybrid Group & Independent Project Asset Sharing

On the public there is a folder for each Creative Director.

Each student will upload their 2 Blender assets to this folder by break.

The file names for each fill will follow the following structure:

Let’s say my last name is Cronin and I made a windmill and a tractor for this project. I would name my files:

  1. cronin_windmill.blend
    • and
  2. cronin_tractor.blend

By break your team folder will have 8 total assets in it. You will COPY these assets to your G Drive, and then Append into your project.

At that point you are 100% on your own in the project. You will texture the models, and find ways to have all 8 of them animated in a looping day night scene.

If you were working with me, and you think my windmill is too basic? Fix it. No complaining, work with what your teammates have given you – but remember who did what well, and who was lazy. You will be picking your own partner in late January for the SkillsUSA State Design competitions.

10:50 Morning Break (10 minutes)

11:00 Blender

  • Rotating Camera to reveal our world
  • Tracking Camera to follow something specific in our world (or the center point)
  • Day Night Cycle

11:30 Intersection Animation Project

  • Day / Night looping cycle
  • 8 independent animating elements, we will count at Critiques
  • Make sure scale, texture detail, and other elements match and “look good“

Extra Credit Opportunity – sound design your project. If you put in a solid effort with numerous sounds I will give you 10 points extra credit.

If you put in 1 wind sound … no.

Save your file as lastNameIntersectionLoop.mp4

11:55 Lunch

  • No food in the room / eat in the Cafe.
  • You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.
