You and I will meet 1:1 and we can:
- See what you are missing for assignments
- Go over the previous weeks T&E grades
- Go over anything you are pretty confused about so I can review

11:00 Pass Fail

Today you are going to Sound Design for a Game Collectable / Door interaction animation that we created in GAWD in our Game Dev units.
Here is the clip you are Sound Designing (found in the passFail folder):
I want to hear 7 sounds:
- Level Start
- Footsteps
- Boxes falling (both colors)
- Boxes sliding (red)
- Collectable boxes (the white ones ones)
- Opening door
- Closing door (try open door reversed?)
When complete, export as lastname.mp4 and upload to the same passFail folder that you got the original clip on the public. We will watch your file on the Big Board, you get checked off, and you move on.
Make sure the sounds are loud enough that you don’t need to go back and fix.
11:30 Intersection Animation

This week in GAWD I want you to create an “Intersection Animation“.
This can directly follow your DH – or it doesn’t have two, these are two distinct projects and grades.
First – all assets are coming from TurboSquid. If you want to model your own assets you may, but realize it has no bearing on your grade. Practice using model warehouses for rapid development.
You must incorporate a close up shot of a traffic light in your animation, and this traffic light must control part of your animation.
You could have:
- Roads vs Roads – standard traffic light
- Roads vs canals – drawbridge and boat and road?
- Roads vs airport – road on runway, cars and planes together?
- Middle east warzone – tanks and military trucks in desert… controlled by a traffic light…? Yeah, sure, why not?
- Other “out there” option? Space highway ala Futurama?
What you are being graded on this week:
- Use of at least 2 camera angles, with a close up on the traffic light.
- Animated materials (traffic light at least)
- Assets downloaded from 3rd party sites (such as Turbo Squid) that are set up with correct scale to feel real.
- Follow rules of society. The battleship should not be doing cartwheels. The car should not be flying. You should not be blowing through stop light!
When complete, create a file called lastNameIntersection.mp4.
To honor students required to be here Friday (not all) we are going to have all Friday am for Production.
