10:10 Adobe AM
Photoshop is a powerful graphics editing software developed by Adobe. It is widely used by photographers, designers, and digital artists for image editing, graphic design, and digital art creation. Photoshop provides a wide range of tools and features for tasks such as photo retouching, compositing, image manipulation, and creating digital illustrations.
We will spend the first 20 minutes of Wednesday’s learning Photoshop so we can incorporate it into our workflows.
10:30 Blender
- Texture paint review
10:50 Morning Break (10 minutes)
11:00 Low / High poly modeling
This week we are going work on our modeling skills with polygon budgets. You are going to pick an object to model – not a scene, but an object, like a giraffe or a rock.
You are going to make 2 versions of your work:
- Low poly – less than 100 faces
- High poly – more than 1500 faces
You will use your modeling skills like we used with our rocks to create these two versions. Once the models are complete consider texture painting? Not required, but if you want to push your skillset, push your skillset.
You will create 3 renders, each with the exact same angle. Don’t move the camera! Find a pretty angle and keep it.
- lastNameLowHigh.jpg – the two objects next to each other. On the left have the low and write “Low Poly” in Photoshop above. On the right have the high and write “High Poly”. Full renders. Basic default text.
- lastNameLowHighStatistics.jpg – same render as above but on the bottom I want you to write the exact number of faces for each.
- lastNameLowHighStatisticsWireframe.jpg – create a wireframe render to demonstrate your models topology, with the same information as the “statistics” render.
Something like this:
This is a new model, and try to push yourself and create something different. Let’s say no Castle, Power Cell, etc.
Really get a good start to this project this morning. Remember that we are going to have WorkKeys Thursday, and English Thursday and Friday.
11:55 Lunch
- No food in the room / eat in the Cafe.
- You are welcome to return to the room when you have finished eating and work / hang out.
