10:10 Sound Design Pass Fail
- Use either the Kung Fu or Rick Roll footage.
- Remove original audio that already exists.
- Use razor blade tool so the video is only 30 seconds long at maximum.
- Add in sounds of a:
- Barking Dog
- Meowing Cat
- Parroting Parrot
- … don’t try to make it good, just demonstrate that you can DO it – this is a proof of concept – proof that you know the workflow.
Export as lastNameThuPF.mp4.
Place in the passFail folder on the Public. Raise your hand, we will look at it on the big board, you get checked off, and you move on to your Sound Design.

A class read-along gives us a chance to slow down, disconnect from screens, and get lost in a great book together. As we read, you’ll naturally build your vocabulary, strengthen your reading skills, and experience a story.

2:20 “19 Minutes”
Every day in GAWD will end with “19 Minutes” of silent reading. Closing down our day with silent reading provides many benefits:
- Improve Literacy Skills / Reading Stamina
- Create space for a small reading meditation where we can disconnect from the world and get lost in a story
- Unplug
At the end I will 3 students and ask for a 1 sentence explanation of what happened.
