Patrick McCallister (Library) runs an event every other Wednesday called Art in the Library where students can work on any art they would like. It takes place from 2:15 to 3:15 and the next one is on April 2nd.

Each team will have different work this morning based on your chosen competition:
Read your teams assignments carefully. A big part of the competition is being able to follow the guidelines that are written for each competition.
By Friday at end of lunch 12:55pm – create a folder with your two names on the Public inside of the weeks “skillsUSA” folder. The folder is found at Public/CAWD. For example if Mr. Cronin and Mr. Bohmann were working together the folder would be:
- “croninBohmann”

Check out this page from Voodoo Donuts. The designer did an excellent job creating a flexbox photo gallery and designing each donut to have it’s own card. The cards even flip too.
What is really nice is when you resize the page, the images and cards and resize too. Ultimately changing to a column layout for mobile screens.
Your Task, create a one page website for VooDoo Donuts new business – VooDoo Pizza.
- Collect 14 different and interesting pizza images (slices or whole pies)
- Optimize your images – they should be appropriately sized and high quality
- Create a caption and description for each pizza – it’s important that each description is well thought out (at nationals, students needed to write a fair amount of copy)
- Arrange images in a flexbox gallery similar to how VooDoo donuts is doing so that when your page resizes, so does your gallery
- Find a fun custom font from google fonts and use as you see fit
- Colors are up to you
- Create a header for your page and a Custom Logo for your new business
- Set up Voodoo Pizza for:
- Desktop
- Tablet (1024px)
- mobile screen sizes(480px)
- For mobile, make the menu a hamburger style menu.
- Clean HTML & CSS Validation.
- Don’t forget the meta data!

Your Goal this week is to get the rough outline of your project on the timeline. You should not be modeling much (just pull from community folders). At 11:45 take a quick screen shot of your progress and place in the dailies folder. We’ll take a quick look to build some momentum.
