Let’s do some Sculpting in Blender to Make a Drippy Wax Candle

Control + R: will remesh the object (remeshing helps keep your quads looking good and not stretched – you can remesh anytime you think your geometry looks stretched
Vocab – Voxels: A voxel is a three-dimensional (3D) pixel that represents a value on a regular grid in a 3D space
Holding Shift: Holding shift while sculpting smooths the surface of the mesh by decreasing the difference between creases and valleys
Simple Deform Modifier – for bending the candle wick
Subdivision Surface Modifier – for adding extra geometry
Proportional Editing for a more organic look when moving the mesh around
EEVEE – We’ll use Glare in the Compositor for a bloom look

Yesterday we talked briefly (and a short video) on what a DNS or Domain Name Server is. And, now that you know a little more about what lies behind a Domain Name. Let’s investigate how to purchase a domain name from a few reputable providers.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is an encryption security protocol that is used to secure an internet connection by encrypting data sent between a website and a browser. This is an especially important item to have if you are taking methods of payment or passing sensitive data. I think all sites should pony up for an SSL certificate. It makes your site a little more legit.

Web Host – or a web hosting service provider, is a business that stores your website information on their special computers or servers (to put it in basic terms). In most cases a web host will also provide a domain name to you as well. There are other additional options that a web host may provide like subdomains, business emails
