10:10 Bird Animation

1 Single Vert and become a tree – just like a seed. So – let’s try that today and then….

Yesterday you all did a model of a swing set. Today, we’ll make a tree and then set up a swing. What we do in class, you can then extend to your swingset (in case it is not finished!). To help with the swing and to get the right movement, we’ll add an armature to the swing. Then, we’ll add the bird.

The trickiest part of this whole scene will be to get the parenting of the bird correct. If there is time this morning, we’ll animate our swing and add some animations to the bird including some drag! – just like we did yesterday.

Now, if all has gone well, we’ve created a bird we set up the swing and we have some animation of the swing to clean up and take care of. We’ll use two types of rotations:

Each Thursday morning SkillsUSA Design Competition prep work will come out.

By Friday at lunch 12:15– Have a folder with your two names on the Public inside of the weeks “skillsUSA” folder. The folder is found at Public/CAWD. For example if Mr. Cronin and Mr. Bohmann were working together the folder would be:

“croninBohmann”

Create your folder in the discipline you are working in. DO THIS FIRST. Mr. Cronin and I are going to copy down the folder at 12:15 and if your deliverables are not there, you will not have a good grade for the week in Skills.

Skills USA is a production grade that counts towards your Q3 grade. How much? – 20%. Your work will be graded on completion of deadlines, adherence to deliverables and your ability to work independently and with your partner. Time is limited, so use your production windows well. We’ll do Skills every Thursday & Friday up to the competition date in April. You’ll be graded on your work each week. Skills counts as 20% of your Quarter grade.

Skills Work for that week will always be due at 12:15 on Friday’s.
