10:05 Today’s Notes & Attendance

  • Today is a Wacky Wednesday
  • Survey: Sweatshirts….
  • Thursday – English – Bring your laptops to class
  • We are registering and talking CCV at right after lunch for Photography
  • CCV Class on Friday means you will be late for regular lunch, you will fill out this lunch form every week by Wednesday to order your lunch. If you bring a lunch, order one anyway.
  • Early lunch today – 11:35 and Early release
  • Tomorrow is picture day for EHS.  CVU students also have permission to get their photos done here – get foms from CTE main office if CVU student
  • First PRISM meeting of the year – during lunch – Yopp Room – CTE Prism supports students who advocate for LGBTQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual/Ally) inclusion and creates a safe meeting space
  • SLC – Student Leadership Committee
    • Show Promo
    • Explain that we would like to have ALL programs represented, and 1 or 2 representatives from each program would be ideal. (Although more are welcome!)
    • Our first meeting will be during lunch on Wednesday, September 10, in M117.

11:00 Unity – Our GAWD2 Game Engine

Thank you to Sylvie for assisting this morning. We got most (if not all by the time you read this) of Unity Installed on your machines. We’ll tackle adding Visual Studio Community which is more robust the editor we use for web. We’ll have to add a module and I’ll walk you through it.

An industry recognized credential is a certification supported by the industry which demonstrates your successful completion and validation of your proficiency using Unity technology. Earning an IRC proves that you have the skills and knowledge to succeed in careers requiring interactive content creation.

Let’s look at some credentials you can earn…

If time allows, we’ll create a new project in Unity [Name it UnityFirstSteps] and look around.
